Company News — WDC Website News Spring 2010 Pacific Industrial Contractor Screening (PICS) Willard Dunham Construction Company has become a registered PICS Contractor. PICS was created to simplify the cumbersome process of prequalifying contractors. This customizable, contractor prequalification software, formed by a dedicated team of safety professionals, industry engineers, and a hands-on customer service group, led to the creation of Pacific Industrial Contractor Screening (PICS). In just a few years of operation, PICS quickly established itself as an industry leader, becoming one of the fastest-growing prequalification service providers in the world. ISNetworld Willard Dunham Construction Company has become a registered ISNetworld Contractor. ISN is the global resource for connecting corporations with safe, reliable vendors from capital-intensive industries. ISN collects self-reported conformance information from vendors, verifies its accuracy, and then reports the results. This allows corporations to select those resources that best meet internal and governmental requirements, while providing vendors and suppliers the opportunity to centralize their conformance information, saving time and gaining presence in the marketplace. Heavy & General Laborers Local 472 Office Renovation and Construction Project – Click Here Summer 2009 : Karl Sadowski — LEED Accredited Professional (AP) Karl Sadowski has become a LEED Accredited Professional (AP) after successfully passing the accreditation exam given by the Green Building Certification Institute. This accreditation enables Karl Sadowski to facilitate the rating of buildings with the various LEED systems and one point is awarded to a project for having a LEED AP as a principal participant. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), provides a suite of standards for environmentally sustainable construction. Since its inception in 1998, LEED has grown to encompass more than 14,000 projects in the United States and 30 countries covering 1.062 billion square feet (99 km²) of development area. The hallmark of LEED is that it is an open and transparent process where the technical criteria proposed by the LEED committees are publicly reviewed for approval by the more than 10,000 membership organizations that currently constitute the USGBC. May 2009 : Louise Franceschini Has Retired – Our part time receptionist, Louise Franceschini, has retired on May 1, 2009 after more than 10 years of dedicated service. Louise will be greatly missed as part of the office team and all of us wish her and her family a happy and healthy retirement. October 2008 : S.E.T. Heavy & General Laborers Local 472 Office Renovation and Construction Project – Willard Dunham Construction Company has been awarded the S.E.T. Heavy & General Laborers Local 472 Office Renovation, Maintenance Building Construction, and Pre-Engineered Training Center Addition in Cliffwood N.J. (South Plainfield, August 22nd) Willard Dunham Construction Company has received the South Plainfield Clean Business Association’s Glitter Award. Thomas D. Dunham, Jr. and his cousin Clifford A. May 19, 2004 : Woodbridge Sentinel The Building Contractors Association of New Jersey presented its highest safety awards to 22 member firms at its luncheon April 7. Members were awarded for completing the previous year without losing a single workday due to an accident and for finishing last year with "lost workday incident rates" below the national average. Willard Dunham Construction Company received the award for zero lost time incidents. |
